A letter of recommendation dated December 5, 2008

Dear Jerry:

Happy holidays to you and your wonderful family. It will be great to see you again as we will be returning to W. Palm Beach in January and excited to take your Tai Chi class. Jerry, your classes are always such an inspiration to us, and your patience and clarity seems endless. Even though our trips to Florida are intermittent, we have learned a great deal from you over the past few years. As you know, Corrine is a certified dance instructor and movement therapist and she uses your Tai Chi warm-up and forms in most of her classes - specifically for students with muscle and joint issues. Personally, she finds the practice of Tai Chi to be a great help to her, in relieving rheumatoid arthritis pain and swelling.

For more than 30 years, I have been a student and master of Uechi-Ryu karate in R.I. Your Tai Chi classes have been very helpful in improving my teaching skills. New students are always a challenge. Students need to understand they must be humble, as karate is for self-defense first and foremost and not for attack or intimidation. Your humility, and teaching proficiency in Tai Chi has provided me the knowledge and ability to integrate both skills for personal practice and for the dojo.

Finally, a big thank you for your terrific Tai Chi Newsletter with its valuable news and information…. but mostly thank you for being YOU!

Warmest regards,

Joe Frisella
